Routing Number On Check

Routing numbers are unique numerical codes that are used by financial institutions as a way to identify the transference of funds between accounts and other institutions. The specific routing number of a bank will always be located in the bottom left corner of a check, to the left of the account number, as seen in the image below.

How to Wire Funds

The first step to initiating a wire transfer is to complete the Wire Transfer Form. When the form has been completed, one can either fax the completed form to the credit union, or drop it off at any branch location. Please make sure to contact the other financial institution for any required information they may need to process a transfer. The following information is required (at the minimum):

  • Full name of sender
  • Bank account number of sender
  • Recipient’s full name and instructions
  • The amount intended to transfer
  • Other information as needed by receiving/sending financial institution
